Abstract
A grating structure was fabricated on Rhodamine6G doped PMMA film using holographic exposure and wet-etching technique, and distributed feedback (DFB) laser operations were demonstrated on the waveguided solidstate dye laser film. The performances of the fabricated DFB dye laser were evaluated and compared with those of holographically pumped DFB dye laser, and an improvement of diffraction efficiency was obtained. The threshold fluence of 800 μJ/cm2 and energy of 40 μJ were achieved, and the wavelength tuning was demonstrated using thermal control.
