Abstract

The algorithm for fault diagnosis based on the signed directed graph with delay is developed in order to utilize rough information about delays of immediate influences among state variables in the chemical process. The present algorithm can display candidates for the origin of failure in the order of possibilities of becoming the origin. The merit of this algorithm is demonstrated by its application to data obtained in experiments of fault diagnosis of a practical pilot plant.
