Abstract

The suitability of inkjet printing for the fabrication of field electron emitter was investigated. The field electron emission characteristics of the carbon black material, used for the fabrication, patterned by inkjet printing were also discussed. It was found that field emission current was obtained from the patterned carbon black dots with fairly stable emission rate. About 8% current fluctuation was observed for the field electron emission current.
