Abstract

Researchers conducted a study to demonstrate ferromagnetism at room temperature (RT) induced by spin structure change in BiFe1-x CoxO3 (BFCO) thin films. They chose the SrTiO3 as the substrates to stabilize BFCO films with the rhombohedral structure, which was the crystal structure of bulk BFCO. Epitaxial BFCO films were fabricated by using pulsed laser deposition (PLD). The researchers also set the thickness to 200 nm to obtain fully relaxed films.
