First observation of superconductivity in molybdenumrutheniumcarbon alloy nanoparticles

Abstract

We report the synthesis of molybdenumrutheniumcarbon alloy nanoparticles with molybdenum-rich composition by an annealing treatment following a thermal decomposition. We first found its superconductivity with a transition temperature at around 5 K through the observation of zero resistivity and Meisner effect.
