Abstract

Fluoro-substituted phenyleneethynylenes are synthesized by Sonogashira coupling and acetylide-nucleophilic substitution of fluorobenzenes. Fluoro-substitution of benzenes enables deep LUMO potential, and CF 3-substitution provides high electron mobility in deposited film (μ = 5.5 × 10-2 cm2V-1 s -1).
