    Abstract

The chain end effect on surface mobility in monodisperse polystyrene (PS) films was discussed. It was found that the sec-Bu-PS-H possesses an asymmetric structure in terms of chain ends. Two kinds of PS with symmetric chain ends were synthesized. Surface relaxation behavior of the films was also examined by using a lateral force microscopy (LFM).
