N2 - Brm is a subunit of the SWI/SNF complex that has a ATPase activity. It is well known that the complex plays a major role in cell processes, such as proliferation, differentiation, and DNA repair of cells. Here we report the production of monoclonal antibody (1H7A10) against Brm by rat medial iliac lymph node method. Immunoblot analysis with the antibody revealed the specific recognition of Brm and increase of Brm protein level in skeletal muscle differentiation. Immunocytochemistry analysis shows nuclear localization in myoblast C2C12 and involvement of transcription in the late stages of differentiation.
