Abstract

Graphene, carbon nanotubes, and semiconductor nanowires are promising building blocks for high-performance nanoelectronic devices and circuits. These materials have been widely researched in the past decade. The studies were extended from their fundamental physics to device performance and integrated circuit implementation. In this chapter, these studies are systematically reviewed in order to provide a general background on these materials. Meanwhile, in-depth discussions on the fabrication mechanism/processes and device performance analysis are also provided. And some perspectives on further performance enhancement are also presented.
