Abstract
Solid-state DFB dye laser pumped via optical fiber was fabricated with pen-drawing technique, and excellent laser performance was demonstrated. The fabrication process was replaced from stacking dual stripes to combination of drawing stripe and hatching film. It can improve the cross section profile of dual-cored and multiple colored DFB laser array. Furthermore, thick waveguide layer (>20um) can easily fabricated. When a passively Q-switched microchip Nd:YAG pumped the lasers via SiO2 optical fiber of 10um core, the improved laser threshold and slope efficiency were obtained.
