Abstract

We propose a wavelength(λ)-tuning sequence without downstream data-frame loss for dynamic-wavelength allocation in WDM/TDM-PONs. Methods for determining frame-launching time as well as buffering time before ONUs start λ-tuning are verified through demonstration using MAC boards.
