Humidity dependence of ozone wall surface deposition flux

Abstract

The concentration of ozone that is present in indoor air depends on the various factors, including outdoor ozone concentration, ventilation rate, wall surface removal (deposition), chemical reactions between ozone and other chemical compounds. One of the specifications of indoor environment is to be surrounded wall surfaces and hence wall surface deposition of indoor ozone has strong impact on indoor ozone concentration. Though plenty of research results concerning surface removal rate of ozone and its numerical modeling have been published, the discussion about humidity dependence of wall surface deposition model for ozone was limited. In this study, humidity dependence of deposition velocity (vd) and mass accommodation coefficient of ozone were discussed based on experimental results of previous reported study and the revised numerical model incorporated humidity dependence was proposed.
