Imaging diagnosis of IgG4-related dacryoadenitis and sialadenitis (IgG4-DS) and Sjögren's syndrome (SS): Imagine features on various modalities

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The imaging features of salivary glands of IgG4-DS on various imaging modalities were retrospectively analyzed, and the differences in the imaging features between IgG4-DS and SS were shown. Submandibular gland sonography showed characteristic hypoechoic nodal/reticular changes in most cases of IgG4-DS. FDG-PET/CT and gallium scintigraphy showed high accumulation in the swollen salivary glands. Sonography, FDG-PET/CT, and gallium scintigraphy are effective imaging modalities for distinguishing IgG4-DS from other conditions, including SS.
