Impact response analysis of RC slab with polyurea resin by SPH method

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

In recent years, polyurea resin has attracted attention as a new material that improves the impact resistance of RC structural members. Due to its large deformability and chemical stability, polyurea resin has been applied for various RC protective structures. We have already confirmed that polyurea resin can significantly increase the impact energy absorbing capacity of RC structural members, and it could improve load resistance performance against repeated impacts. However, there are still a few numerical analysis studies on their performance. Thus, this study tried to simulate the impact response of RC slab with polyurea resin using SPH method.
