Abstract

We have developed a fast-response induction heated (IH) evaporator that is capable of fabricating highly efficient organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). The IH evaporator requires only IS sec to precisely increase the deposition rate from 0.1 to 0.2 nm/s. A phosphorescent OLED with an emissive layer fabricated using the IH evaporators exhibited high external quantum efficiency of 19% at 1000 cd/m1. This novel IH evaporator technology is expected to be a powerful method for OLED production.
