Abstract

The influence of partial annealing temperature on cube texture in high purity aluminum foils for electrolytic capacitor has been studied. Crystal orientations in the 99.98% aluminum foils which had been partially annealed at several temperatures, additionally rolled and heat-treated at 573K for several times were analyzed by SEM/EBSP method. The distribution and the number of cube-oriented grains depended on the partial annealing temperature and the stored energy difference between cube and other oriented grains was given by an additional rolling. It is considered to be important to develop a tube texture that an optimum distribution and number of cube-oriented grains are obtained by changing a partial annealing temperature.
