Integral image-based error diffusion

Abstract

We propose a new error diffusion method based on integral images. The proposed method has only 3 error diffusion coefficients, and therefore is computationally efficient compared to the conventional error diffusion methods. Experimental results show that the proposed method is fast while keeping the halftone quality.
