Abstract

We propose a cyclic N×N AWG router with which to realize a novel γ-tunable WDM/TDMPON with bandwidth allocation flexibility for inhomogeneous user distribution. We fabricated the router with silica-based PLC technology, and demonstrate that it can cyclically multi/demultiplex both 20 nmand 200 GHz-spaced signals at 1.3 and 1.5 μm, respectively.
