Abstract

Integration of solid state dye lasers on functional devices such as biological analyzing chips, sensors, medical diagnostic chips, and micro flow cytometry chips is proposed. Integrated chip of multicolor film dye lasers with micro-flow-channels for electrophoresis was fabricated as a first example. Excimer laser lithography and high precision dispensing were adapted for the fabrication. Detection of LIF from small amount (approx. 1nL) NileBlue690 solution with electrophoresis was demonstrated as a preliminary evaluation.
