Abstract

Diradical species which bear two nitronyl nitroxide groups or two imino nitroxide groups on thieno[3,2-b]thiophene and thieno[2,3-b]thiophene, respectively, were studied in a frozen solution by means of ESR spectroscopy to show those are the ground-state singlet species.
