Irreversibility fields of polycrystalline Hg(1-X)PbxBa2Ca2Cu3O y superconductors

Abstract

A series of Hg-1223 samples partly substituted by Pb is prepared in a one step synthesis using the metal oxides. Irreversibility lines Bi(T) were determined over more than four decades up to 14 T by using the peak maxima in the imaginary parts of the AC-susceptibility. The temperature dependence can be described by the theory of Matsushita based on a flux creep model.
