Abstract

We established an ELISA for marihuana pollens using anti-marihuana pollen allergen IgE. This ELISA distinguished only the marihuana pollen from various plant pollens. When the marihuana pollens on PVDF membrane were treated with 0.125 M NaHCO(J), allergens appeared and fixed on the membrane. A single pollen can be detected by the anti-marihuana pollen alergen IgE under microscope. It became evident that marihuana pollens contained cannabinoids which were determined by ELISA using anti-THCA MAb.
