Abstract

<p>Micro disk lasers are characterized by high Q factor, low mode volume and they can be used for bio sensing applications. Ink-jet printing method is a simple and rapid method to fabricate micro disk lasers. This work reports the first demonstration of micro disk laser fabricated by ink-jet printing method using hyper branched polymer FC-V-50. The FC-V-50 polymer is characterized by (F-CF2)6 functional group which makes it suitable for bio sensing applications. Using 10 wt. % ethanol solution and doping with Rhodamine640 of concertation of 5 mM, the lasing characteristics of micro disk laser were obtained and lasing threshold was estimated.</p>
