Abstract

A 62-year-old man presented to our hospital with a 4-year history of a gradually enlarging mass in the left scrotum. Left high orchiectomy was done under the clinical diagnosis of testicular tumor. The mass originated within the spermatic cord and had not invaded the epididymis or the testis. Histological examination showed leiomyosarcoma of the spermatic cord. After the surgery, radiotherapy was given locally. We present a case of leiomyosarcoma of the spermatic cord, and to our knowledge, this is the 23th case to be reported in Japan.
