Lifetime evaluation of weakly ionized plasma channel by accumulation effect of charged particles by means of laser absorption

Abstract

The use of laser absorption to improve the density of weakly ionized plasma by accumulation effect of charge particles was analyzed. It was found that the density of a weakly ionized plasma channel was 10 13 cm-3. It was also found that the plasma channel had the long lifetime of the order of milliseconds, which were achieved by utilizing the accumulation effect of charged particles generated by the high-repetition rate laser. The high-repetition-rate laser was ion-ion recombination between N+ and O- generated by the dominant mechanism of deacy of plasma.
