Lifetime measurement of the [Formula Presented] isomer in [Formula Presented]

Abstract

The lifetime of the 773 keV [Formula Presented] isomer in [Formula Presented] has been measured to be [Formula Presented] by taking coincidences between [Formula Presented] rays and projectilelike fragments produced in deep-inelastic collisions of [Formula Presented] (635 MeV). The [Formula Presented] value for the 542 keV transition in [Formula Presented] is found to be 0.042(3) Weisskopf units (W.u.). An identification method of nuclei produced in deep-inelastic collisions is also described.
