Abstract

In this paper, we consider the problem of designing a controller so that the resulting closed-loop system will have a prescribed vector field around the origin. We show that the problem can be solved in either the exact sense or the approximate sense by finitely many arithmetic operations of polynomials or real numbers. In both cases, all the required state-feedback controllers can be represented by using free parameters.
