Abstract

An asymmetric amide anion, FTA - ([(FSO 2XCF 3SO 2)N] -}, has a significant ability to reduce the melting points of an aliphatic quaternary ammonium salts even for a symmetric tetraethylammonium. Much more interestingly, the electrochemical stability of this anion was comparable to a typical amide anion, such as bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)amide.
