Magnetism of some genuine organic radical crystals

Abstract

With the genuine organic radical compound p-CDTV (C10H10N4SCl), we have studied the pressure dependence of the magnetic transition temperature, taking into account the overlap of the molecular orbitals. Spin-dimensionality crossover from the two-dimensional Heisenberg (2DH) to the 2D Ising symmetry has been also investigated by analysis of the critical index of magnetic susceptibility of another organic crystal TOV (C20H15N4O), whose heat capacity exhibits only a broad maximum characteristic of the 2DH system.
