Abstract
Effective charge Z* of tritium in alpha-phase of Ta has been measured by a steady-state electromigration experiment in a temperature region from 375 to 524 K and compared with data of protium and deuterium previously reported by the present authors. The obtained data of Z* show definite isotope mass effect such as Z*(H)>Z*(D)>Z*(T). Direct charge Z d and wind charge Zw have been evaluated on the basis of a relation between Z* and sample resistivity ρ. The result indicates the mass effect such as Zd(D) ≦Zd(T)≦Zd(H) and Zw(H)<Zw (T)<Zw(D)<0.
