Abstract
Critical current density (Jc) and irreversibility field (B irr) were measured for a GdBa2Cu3O 7-δ film with gold nanorods which were elongated along the c-axis of the film. The crossover from the single vortex pinning to the plastic pinning region occurred near BΦ at 10K. The 'peak effect' in the Jc-B characteristics at 50-82K and the kink in the Birr-T curve (Tirr ≤ 87.4K) were observed near BΦ(≤ 0.43T), when the magnetic fields were applied parallel to the c-axis of the film. The matching field effects have significant roles to determine the behaviours of the vortices in the REBa2Cu3O 7-δ (RE: Y, Gd, Sm, etc) films with correlated pinning centres, like nanorods, regardless of temperature.
