Abstract

A comparative study of the implicit and explicit methods of analysis is presented, using mathematical simulations of the plane and multilayer flow in Lake Biva, Japan. Both methods simulate large scale lake flow with different patterns, but must be further sophisticated to reveal the detailed flow behaviour with respect to the dynamic aspect. This simulation technique also supplements the scarce field observations. (from author's abstract)
