Abstract
The maximum-J (or dJ/dr<0) capability of a quasiaxisymmetric (QA) configuration was examined. The aim was to investigate improved confinement through the possibility of turbulent transport suppression realized by the drift reversal. The local maximum of J was created to give favorable dJ/dr<0. As a result, the impact of magnetic configuration on turbulent transport was clarified.
