N1 - Funding Information: It is with great pleasure that I welcome our guests and colleagues to E-JUST and JAC-ECC 2018. This year marks the 6th run of the conference. The start of JAC-ECC was in 2012, with runs in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, between Cairo and Alexandria, and the conference was once hosted at Kyushu University, Japan. JAC-ECC was founded by the sincere efforts of scholars from E-JUST and Kyushu University with a vision to link researchers from academia and industry from Egypt and Japan, then the conference scope was extended to include Africa in 2017. This vision is in line with the larger goals of establishing E-JUST, to become a beacon of Japanese education in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa. Since its inception, JAC-ECC, with its unique technical format, incorporating solid contributions from Japan, grew fast to realize this vision, becoming one of the important scientific events in the electronics, communications and computer engineering in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa JAC-ECC was founded and shaped by many contributors from Japan and Egypt. For the first time in Egypt, Africa, and the Middle East, JAC-ECC has become a venue for technical contributions from the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE), Japan. IEEE Egypt section and IEEE Fukuoka subsection supported the conference. I take this chance to thank National Telecommunication Regulation Agency (NTRA) for their financial support and sponsoring the conference. This year we are glad to run the conference under the auspices of the Minister of Higher Education and the Minister of Communications. This lineup of the stakeholders' contributions from Egypt and Japan, allowed JAC-ECC, over the years to serve as a distinct bridge linking, and nurturing the relations between Egyptian, African and Japanese Electronics, Information and Communication scholars and professionals. Funding Information: Finally, the conference would not have been financially possible without the support from the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) of Egypt and the LOGICON Company. We are also grateful to our technical sponsor, IEEE Egypt Section IEEE Fukuoka Section and IEICE Communication Society
