Abstract

The monomer reactivity ratio and Q, e of trialkylsilyl methacrylates and acrylates were studied. Copolymerizations of trialkylsilyl acrylates and methacrylates (M1) with styrene (M2) were carried out in bulk with sealed tube under nitrogen atmosphere at 80°C initiated by BPO. Copolymer composition of each monomer unit in copolymer was obtained from 1H NMR measurement. Monomer reactivity ratios were determined by the Kelen-Tudos method.
