Abstract

The magnetocaloric effect in Mn3GaC at the antiferromagnetic to ferromagnetic transition was calculated. The temperature dependence of the magnetization at various magnetic fields was shown. The adiabatic temperature change was estimated by calculating the total entropy curve as a function of the temperature under several finite fields.
