Abstract

A study was performed on noise characteristics of Co-based amorphous tapes to seek low-noise magnetic shell for magnetic shaking. The Barkhausen noise was measured under the 5 Hz current-sine excitation in the 1 kHz-10 kHz range. The energy of the Barkhausen noise was compared to that of the fluctuation noise which appeared in the low-frequency band when the magnetic material was excited with higher frequency such as 1 kHz.
