Abstract

We propose a measurement method of the optical pulse width at high-repetition frequencies. It consists of simple components such as a self-delayed interferometer and an optical power meter. We generated 50-GHz repetition pulses by superposing several lightwaves with 50-GHz spacing, and measured their pulse width with this measurement system.
