Nucleic acid-chaperoning function of polycationic copolymers with different primary structures

Abstract

Nucleic acid chaperones are proteins that support hybridization of nucleic acids. We have shown that the cationic comb-type copolymer has a chaperon-like function of accelerating the DNA strand-exchange reaction. We prepared various copolymers having different Mws of main chain and cationic residues to study structural effect of copolymers on nucleic acid-chaperoning function.
