Abstract

This paper describes numerical analysis of a flow field behind a strong shock wave in air. A one-dimensional flow with thermal and chemical nonequilibrium is considered. In this calcuration, translational, vibrational and electron temperatures are treated separately. Especially, a multi-vibrational temperature model is employed to understand the behavior of each species vibrational temperature.
