Abstract

The methane-air turbulent diffusion flame in a combustor was analyzed using the large eddy simulation (LES) method with the dynamic SGS model. The calculated temperature and CH4 mole fraction distribution agreed well with the experimental results, but the CO mole fraction distribution did not agree well with the measured result due to a simple CO reaction mechanism.
