N2 - In order to study the cavitation and hydrodynamic characteristics of propeller, Schnerr-Sauer cavitation model and two-phase flow solver were used in the simulation based on OpenFOAM. The results can be used as a reference for evaluating the working ability of propeller in actual navigation. A new mesh refinement method is used to capture the existence of tip vortex cavitation. A modified shear stress transport (SST) k-ω turbulence model was used to predict the typical unsteady dynamics. The numerical results of cavitation shape, pressure distribution and thrust coefficient are analyzed.
