Abstract
The paracrystalline lattice distortion in the near-surface region of melt-crystallized polyethylene films was evaluated. The evaluation was done by using synchrotron-sourced grazing-incidence x-ray diffraction. The distortion of crystal lattice in the in-plane direction was estimated on the basis of the paracrystalline theory proposed by Hosemann.
