Abstract

The formation of very large aggregates of native poly(L-lysine) in the presence of hydrophobic amines was discussed. The transcription of the aggregates into their spherical analogues and influence of the bases on the aggregation behaviour was examined. The results prove it to be a novel and easy method for the fabrication of hollow silica spheres.
