Abstract
We report oxygen post-annealing effects of superconducting properties on ErBa2Cu3Oy thin films fabricated by a pulsed laser deposition (PLD) method. Critical current densities were dramatically enhanced by an oxygen post-annealing process at temperature range of 350-500 °C in comparison with that of the as-deposited film (~0.3 MA/cm 2). Even in REBa2Cu3Oy films grown by a non-equilibrium process such as the PLD method, the oxygen post-annealing process is crucially effective for enhancement of critical current properties, which is suggesting that the oxygen annealing is a practical process for improvement of critical current of PLD-REBa2Cu3O y coated conductors.
