(PPh3)3RhCI catalyzed rapid hydrosilylation of ketones, olefins, and acetylenes with 1,2-bis(dimethylsilyl)ethane (1) to form monohydrosilylation products Me2HSi(CH2)2SiMe2Z (Z = alkoxy, alkyl, vinyl), selectively.
