Abstract

For the purpose of predicting the reservoir performance, approximate equations to calculate temperature and pressure changes for a lumped-parameter model with continuous steam production are presented. Giving values to parameters in these equations, some calculations are made, and the results indicate that the reservoir porosity and the steam production rate have important effects on the reservoir decline.
