Prediction of ship manoeuvring motion in non-uniform flow field

Abstract

In this paper, the authors propose simulation method for ship manoeuvring motions in non-uniform flow field to examine ship operation in such flow field, and validate the predicted results comparing with the results of model experiments. The numerical simulation can be expected to indicate the way of ship operation in non-uniform flow field which is hardly ever studied.
