Preparation and superconducting properties of (ll0) - oriented YBa2Cu3O7-δ thin films

Abstract

Thin films of (ll0)-oriented YBa2Cu3O7-δ(YBCO) have been prepared by DC magnetron sputtering with an inverted cylindrical target. To confirm single phase of (110)-oriented YBCO, we have studied by a new technique of conventional two axes X-ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscopy and electrical-transport measurement in magnetic fields. We identify that the films are of single phase of (ll0)-oriented YBCO and twin-free by these measurements.
