N2 - The preparation of functionally graded oxide galss in molecular scale was discussed. A transparent SiO2-TiO2 glass of a mm scale that had a graded structure was obtained by controlling sol-gel processing times before the centrifugation. The method has several advantages. The specimen size can be increased up to cm scale.
